Thank you for your interest in joining the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center Volunteer Services program. We have received your application. Please be advised that due to the high volume of applications received, we will contact you within the next few weeks regarding the status of your application.
Please keep in mind the following important details:
Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers are expected to commit to a minumum of 100 consecutive hours; our program is not designed for summer or winter break opportunities. Currently, we are accepting applications for all hospital departments, including the Disney Family Cancer Center. Specialty and outpatient areas offer volunteer hours between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (no weekends).
Please note, volunteers do not shadow doctors or nurses, nor do they gain physician interaction or clinical, procedural or hands-on medical experience. We do not have a pediatric ward, and those interested in volunteering in the NICU must be approved by the NICU director. Volunteering at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center does not guarantee or provide any advantage for employment at the hospital or its affiliated locations.
